Pink Sapphires Meet a 2-Carat Lab Diamond: Inside Our Rope Double-Halo Ring

Some rings are a study in contrast - and this is one of our favorites. A brilliant two-carat lab diamond at the center, a soft blush of pink sapphires around it, and a rope-twisted double halo tying it all together. It is romantic and modern at once, and every element was chosen for a reason. Here is a closer look.

The Center: A 2-Carat IGI-Certified Lab Diamond

At the heart of the ring sits a full two-carat lab-grown diamond, independently graded and IGI certified. A lab diamond is chemically and optically identical to a mined one - the same brilliance, the same hardness - with an IGI certificate documenting its quality so you know exactly what you are getting. It is also why a center stone this size is within reach: in today’s market, a lab diamond delivers a large, dazzling center for a fraction of what a comparable natural stone would cost. More sparkle, more size, and a clear conscience.

The Color: A Halo of Pink Sapphires

Instead of a predictable all-diamond border, this ring is framed in pink sapphires. Beyond their romantic, blush-toned glow - a color that flatters every skin tone - sapphires are an exceptionally practical choice: as a form of corundum, they rate a 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamond, which makes them wonderfully suited for a ring that will be worn every single day. The pink halo softens the whole design and gives it a personality an all-white ring simply does not have.

The Detail: A Rope-Twisted Double Halo

Two design choices give this ring its presence. The double halo wraps the center in two rings of stones rather than one, maximizing sparkle and making the two-carat center look even grander. And the rope-twisted metalwork - a fine braided detail running through the setting - adds vintage texture and a lovely bit of symbolism: two strands wound together, made to hold. It is the kind of detail that rewards a second look.

Crafted to Last

Like everything we make, this ring is handcrafted in 14k solid gold with ethically sourced stones and recycled metal, built to order and typically ready in about two to four weeks. And nothing here is fixed: the metal color, and other details, can be tailored to you - or we can use this ring as the starting point for a design entirely your own.

Who This Ring Is For

This is a ring for the romantic who wants it all - real size and sparkle, a touch of color, and a design with meaning woven into it - without choosing between statement and timelessness. If that sounds like you, or someone you love, it is worth seeing in person.
